As a busy mom who is always on the go, I love finding ways to save time and money without sacrificing style. One area where I’ve been able to cut costs and still feel put-together is with my nails. I enjoy doing my nails at home, and over the past few months, I’ve been testing out different products to see which ones are truly worth the investment. From nail wraps to gel systems, I’ve tried them all! Today, I’m excited to share my honest, unsponsored review of Dazzle Dry—a nail polish system that has been generating a lot of buzz for its quick-drying formula and long-lasting results. If you’ve been wondering whether it’s worth the hype (and the price), keep reading to find out everything you need to know before giving it a try!
If you have never heard about Dazzle Dry let me give you a rundown. Dazzle Dry is a unique nail care system designed to deliver salon-quality results at home. It is known for its non-toxic, vegan formula that dries in just five minutes without the need for UV light. Popular among busy women and beauty enthusiasts, it promises a chip-free, long-lasting finish that can last up to two weeks. With its focus on healthier ingredients and ease of use, Dazzle Dry has quickly become a favorite for those looking to simplify their nail routine. While it sounds amazing, a starter kit containing the 4 step system starts at $40. It can easily last over 10 manicures, but is it worth that? Here is my Dazzle Dry nail polish review.
Application of Dazzle Dry Nail Polish
Since I purchased the Mini 4 Step System, there were directions for each step of the process. They were easy to follow. Although a total of 4 steps, each step may need multiple coats.
- Prep- prep your nails with the Step 1 solution to ensure there are no oils on your nails that may impede adhesion.
- Base coat- apply 2 coats of the base coat allowing each coat to dry. I found these to dry within 1-2 minutes.
- Nail color- Apply 2-3 coats of nail color. I needed 2 coats to become fully opaque. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily they went on and how quickly they dried. By the time I finished painting both hands, the first hand was dry.
- Top coat- The top coat takes a full 5 minutes to dry, but you only need 1 coat. This is what seals it in and creates a shiny finish. The base coat and nail color are a bit matte.
Overall, the entire process takes 10-15 minutes. I found it all easy to follow and my nails looks nice afterwards.
Removal of Dazzle Dry
I found removal of Dazzle Dry to be quick and easy with simple nail polish remover. It took less than 5 minutes and I did not experience any damage to my nails.
Review of Dazzle Dry Results
Dazzle Dry is advertised as no chip and no peel for 7+ days. I have tried my best to apply it according to the directions. I have used it 3 times and on my daughter one time.
Each time I was not able to get to 7 days. Normally by day 3-4 I begin experiencing some chipping and peeling at the edges/corners of my nails. My daughter experienced this as well. I tried to protect my nails with rubber gloves with doing dishes or cleaning, but it didn’t seem to make a difference.
I have spoken with other people who have tried this with better results and can get a full 7 days of wear. It may be my nail type or I’m just too rough with my hands and nails.
Pros of Dazzle Dry Nail Polish System:
- Quick-drying formula—dries in just five minutes.
- No UV or LED light required.
- Long-lasting wear—up to two weeks without chipping for some people.
- Non-toxic and free from harmful chemicals.
- Vegan and cruelty-free formula.
- Easy to remove without damaging nails.
- Provides a glossy, professional finish.
- Great for busy individuals who need fast results.
- Helps strengthen natural nails over time.
- Minimal odor compared to traditional nail polishes.
Cons of Dazzle Dry Nail Polish System:
- Higher price point compared to regular nail polishes. Full size bottles start at $22 while the sample set system is $40.
- Requires multiple steps, including a prep step, which can take extra time.
- Limited color selection compared to other nail polish brands. There are about 22 colors I found available on amazon.
- May not adhere as well on very oily nail beds without proper prep.
- Top coat can thicken over time and may need replacing.
- Requires specific products for optimal results, which adds to the cost.
- Not as widely available in stores, often requiring online purchases.
Overall
I still prefer nail wraps and gel nail wraps from Dashing Diva best. I find them to last a full 7 days and the application is still about 15 minutes. However, the nail wraps can be a bit trickier with very short nails. When you apply the nail wraps you need to fold them over and file off the excess which is tricky if your nails have little to no ‘free margin.’ In that case, the Dazzle Dry nail system can help keep your nails from breaking while you grow them out just a bit. I hope this Dazzle Dry nail polish review helps you decide if it’s a good option for you!
